Should you ever run an Ad without seeing it

It seems like a simple question. Always make sure you are the final on your ad. No one knows your business like you. Never give blanket permission for an ad to be published without seeing it. EVER. If the ad that is being created is unsightly or appears to be ineffective, you may have to make the decision between a poorly produced ad being conjured up at the last minute and giving up your space. Don’t run a poor ad. Even if it is cheap to run, this means you will only lose less money. There is nothing worse in advertising then an ad that loses money. Remember, this could be in the hands of people for a long time. If it is published on the internet it could be forever. Click here for the full article.

It’s a new year and a great time to put systems in place to make your life and that of your children easier. Sometimes, all it takes is a couple of file folders in a set location such as a box, basket, tote, tub, or holder on top of the microwave, near the front door, or in the corner of a kitchen counter. Label a few folders as needed. Choose a place where papers can be moved directly from backpacks to the proper location. This is especially helpful for school papers that need to be returned to teachers, details about assignments and projects, events and other school or extra-curricular activity dates and contact information. Work to establish a habit of putting papers there as soon as students get home from school and also try to remember to check the “Return to Teacher” folder before kids leave for class each morning. Make sure everyone knows that the folders should not develop legs and move to other locations in the house. Click here for the full article.

Give Yourself the Gift of Health

What is the one gift that you can give to yourself this Christmas that will also give to others? The answer is simple; your health. What ever happens to you also happens to those you love and those who love you. Your health or lack of health is experienced in one way or another by those in the sphere of your life. The gift of my health is the greatest gift I can give to my husband, children and grand children. Imagine for a moment the drama and trauma our family endured when my sister, mother and I were diagnosed with cancer in a span of two years time. For each individual that is diagnosed or living with a health condition that disrupts their life there are parents, children, siblings, friends, congregations and long distant families who are affected by the drama and trauma of one persons unfortunate health crisis. When I reclaimed my health from twelve years of chronic illness that culminated with breast cancer I also reclaimed my life and my family reclaimed rest in their souls from watching me suffer.
