End of Summer

Summer is coming to an end and that means we are looking forward to some relief from the high temperatures and some warm comfort foods like chili, stews and lasagna that we sometimes reserve for the fall and winter seasons. Although I consume these three all year long some Phoenicians wouldn’t think of enjoying them in 115 degree weather. Don’t blame them one bit. But as soon as the weather begins to cool to 100 degrees we can think about enjoying them again. Of course I recommend you convert your standard chili, stews and lasagna into plant based menus. Crisis

In July of 1989 I was a thirty year old young military wife, a stay at home mother raising two daughters and a son. I was doing what stay at home mothers do; I was busy with my children’s lives, supporting my husband’s military career and involved in church life, community, neighborhood and building relationships with other military families. A Day Of Simple Health

Ten years ago this month I would have never used the word simple to describe my health. My personal health was anything but simple. In fact it was exactly the opposite. My health was complicated, confusing, sad and certainly painful but it was not simple. Then through a series of events I came across some life changing, life saving information that unimaginable to me would lead me to reclaim my health. I spent two years mastering twelve laws of health that made all the difference in reclaiming my health and preventing further disease. I must say they were the two most intense years of my life as I spent countless of hours studying the subject of health and wellness and diligently applying every bit of information I was learning. Today I enjoy simple health. Gone are the days that I did not know what macro nutrients and micro nutrients are or how much protein I should consume or how to balance my hormones naturally. I am no longer at the mercy of conflicting health studies that only increase skepticism. Nor am I sick and desperate making me vulnerable to the pharmaceutical commercials promising relief of one symptom in exchange for an unbelievable twenty other drug induced symptoms. Instead I became a critical health thinker and am completely in charge of my own health care. I make the decisions on what I should do or not do concerning my health and I have never looked back. Mastering Simple Health

In my journey to reclaiming my health there were many opportunities to become discouraged. I was in the worse shape of my life and there were multiple things wrong with my body. At first I was reading, learning and applying as many things as I could with no specific order. I was drinking more water, exercising, etc. but I did not have a strong health and wellness protocol in place. As I learned one thing after another I continued to make the changes to my life that I thought necessary in order to reclaim my health. Click here for the full article.

Simple Surrender

Reclaiming any part of your life whether it is health related, financial, marital, parental, spiritual or relational demands more than cooperation; it demands complete surrender. Cooperation deems that just simply knowing what to do and what not to do should help you to achieve reversing your problem. Becoming a critical health thinker’s first rule of order is to recognize the difference between a cooperative spirit and a surrendered life. They are not one in the same.
