My March blog generated the most questions I have received since I joined Discover the Region as a health and wellness blogger.  Those in the sphere of my life continue to call with questions about the foods that I recommend for simple health.  The next three blogs will assist you in replacing dangerous, unhealthy foods with nutritious whole food by taking a close look at what I call the Omega Factor.  In order to build a strong line of defense against sickness and disease you must understand Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids and the role they each play in reclaiming your health and preventing disease.  There is much talk about Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids in the media and all around us.  Unfortunately there is also much confusion therefore the Omega Factor is often over looked and misunderstood by most of us.

Omega 3, 6 and 9 come from different sources and the ratio you consume them in will affect your health for better or for worse.  The questions of how, when, where and why we need them and where to safely get them from are really very simple to answer.  I did three things with what I call the Omega Factor.  I studied them for myself, I mastered applying the information to my food in take and I have summarized the life saving, life changing information in these fact sheets for others.  Today I want to concentrate on the dangers of Omega 6 fats.  Removing them from your daily food intake is just as vital as removing man made sugars and preservatives.  Once I mastered abstaining from Omega 6 fats to the best of my ability I quickened the process of reclaiming my health and preventing disease.   Here are a few facts to consider about Omega 6 fatty acids.

Omega-6 fats are fats to avoid.

Omega-6 fats are found in inexpensive plant and vegetable seeds.  In it of themselves they are not bad for you because they were created by God as a food source.  The danger however is in how over used and over consumed these Omega 6 fats are by the food industry.  Because the seeds are inexpensive to grow and sell they easily make their way to every home, restaurant, school cafeteria, eatery, vending machine, and any where else food is sold and consumed.

Omega-6 fats are found in Safflower oil, Corn oil, Soybean oil, Peanut oil, Cottonseed oil, Grape seed oil, Borage oil, Primrose oil, and Sesame oil.

These are cheap oils that are used by the food industry in all processed  foods.  You will find them in everything from breads to cereals, cool whip, ice cream, canned foods and even in makeup, etc.  They are also sold as alternative bottled oils for cooking.

Omega-6 fats are also found in foods sold in most health foods stores.

Omega-6 fats hide in the breast fat and cells boosting your cancer risk.

Omega-6 fats are processed into Trans fats by using the hydrogenation process.  This process changes the inexpensive oils into chemically bonded fats which contribute to sickness and disease one day at a time.

It is not enough to remove Trans fats from your foods; removing Omega-6 fats or at the least decreasing them from your daily food in take is also crucial to achieving health.

Over consumption of Omega-6 fats causes inflammation of the body.  Gallbladder, appendix, digestive system, and liver are all absolutely suppressed.

Omega-6 fats can be enjoyed in small quantities only after you have successfully fasted and cleansed the body.

Health experts estimate that American women are eating 500 times the Omega-6 fats that are considered healthy.

Just like sugar Omega-6 fats cause cancer growth.

Critical Health Thinking Skill: master removing Omega 6 fats from your diet for six months and reintroduce them in safe quantities back into your daily food intake.
